Mode of Action
Carfentrazone-ethyl is a contact selective herbicide. In the process of chlorophyll biosynthesis under light, it can cause the accumulation of toxic intermediates by inhibiting protoporphyrinogen oxidase, thus destroy the cell membrane of weeds and make the leaves dry and die rapidly. Carfentrazone-ethyl will be absorbed by plant leaves within 15 minutes after spraying, and it’s not affected by rain. Weeds will appear poisoning symptoms 3-4 hours later and die 2-4 days later.
