Highly effective insecticide
Indoxacarb has a powerful insecticidal effect that acts rapidly on target pests, including aphids, whiteflies, and lepidopteran larvae. Its unique mechanism of action blocks sodium ion channels in the nervous system of pests, leading to paralysis and death.

High safety
Indoxacarb is highly safe for humans, animals and the environment. It is easily degraded in the environment and does not cause persistent pollution. At the same time, it has a low impact on non-target organisms such as bees and beneficial insects, protecting the ecological balance.

Long-lasting and persistent
Indoxacarb forms a protective film on the surface of the crop, providing long-lasting protection for more than two weeks. Its rainwater resistant properties ensure that it remains effective in all weather conditions.

Main commercial specification:

  • Indoxacarb 30% WDG – water-dispersible granule for broad crop use.

Other formulations available for OEM projects (subject to feasibility and registration):

  • Indoxacarb 15% WDG

  • Indoxacarb 15% SC

  • Indoxacarb 23% SC

  • Indoxacarb 30% SC

You can combine 30% WDG as your core SKU with selected SC/EC grades to build a complete Indoxacarb product line under your own brand.

Mode of Action

Indoxacarb belongs to the oxadiazine class of insecticides and acts primarily through ingestion and contact:

  • After being ingested or contacted by the insect, Indoxacarb is converted in the insect body to an active metabolite.

  • This metabolite blocks voltage-dependent sodium channels in the insect nervous system.

  • The blockage disrupts nerve signal transmission, causing feeding cessation, paralysis and eventual death of susceptible pests.

Because of this mode of action, Indoxacarb is particularly effective against lepidopteran larvae that actively feed on treated foliage or fruits. It is also a useful partner in rotation programs aimed at managing resistance to other insecticide classes.

Target Pests & Crops

Indoxacarb 30% WDG is designed for the control of key lepidopteran pests on multiple crops. Typical target pests (depending on local registration) include:

Lepidopteran larvae (caterpillars)

  • Helicoverpa spp.

  • Spodoptera spp. (armyworms)

  • Plutella xylostella (diamondback moth)

  • Other fruit borers, leafrollers and budworms

Typical crops

  • Leafy and fruiting vegetables (for example, cabbage, broccoli, tomato, pepper)

  • Fruit trees and vines (for example, citrus, grapes, pome fruit where registered)

  • Cotton and other fiber crops

  • Maize and other cereals

  • Other high-value crops as permitted by local labels

Actual pest–crop combinations and use patterns must always follow the registered label in the destination country.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High loading, efficient formulation
30% WDG provides a high active content per unit of product, supporting efficient storage and logistics.

  • Effective control of lepidopteran pests
Strong stomach and contact action on a wide range of caterpillar species, helping to protect yield and quality.

  • Water-dispersible granule advantages
Low dust, good flow properties, easy handling and rapid dispersion in water, with less operator exposure compared to many traditional wettable powders.

  • Good rainfastness and residual activity
When applied according to label recommendations, Indoxacarb delivers reliable protection over a meaningful period, supporting less frequent applications in integrated programs.

  • Fit for resistance management strategies
Distinct mode of action compared to many older insecticides, making it a valuable component in rotation or mixture strategies to delay resistance.

  • OEM and private-label friendly
Flexible packaging, artwork and formulation options make it easy to insert Indoxacarb into your portfolio with your own brand identity.

Usage method

1. Control of diamondback moth and cabbage caterpillar: in the 2-3rd instar larval stage. Use 4.4-8.8 grams of 30% indoxacarb water-dispersible granules or 8.8-13.3 ml of 15% indoxacarb suspension per acre mixed with water and spray.

2. Control Spodoptera exigua: Use 4.4-8.8 grams of 30% indoxacarb water-dispersible granules or 8.8-17.6 ml of 15% indoxacarb suspension per acre in the early larval stage. Depending on the severity of the pest damage, pesticides can be applied 2-3 times continuously, with an interval of 5-7 days between each time. Application in the early morning and evening will provide better results.

3. Control cotton bollworm: Spray 30% indoxacarb water-dispersible granules 6.6-8.8 grams per acre or 15 indoxacarb suspension 8.8-17.6 ml on the water. Depending on the severity of the bollworm damage, the pesticides should be applied 2-3 times at intervals of 5-7 days.

Matters needing attention

1. After applying indoxacarb, there will be a period of time from when the pest comes into contact with the liquid or eats the leaves containing the liquid until it dies, but the pest has stopped feeding and harming the crop at this time.

2. Indoxacarb needs to be used alternately with pesticides with different mechanisms of action. It is recommended to use it no more than 3 times on crops per season to avoid the development of resistance.

3. When preparing the liquid medicine, first prepare it into a mother liquor, then add it to the medicine barrel, and stir it thoroughly. The prepared medicinal solution should be sprayed in time to avoid leaving it for a long time.

4. Sufficient spray volume should be used to ensure that the front and back sides of the crop leaves can be sprayed evenly.

Safety & Stewardship

Indoxacarb is a pesticide and must be handled with care:

  • Use only in accordance with the registered product label and local regulations in the country of destination.

  • Ensure that only trained, professional operators handle, mix and apply the product.
