Application:Spinosad is a macrolide-based pollution-free and highly efficient biological pesticide extracted from the fermentation broth of Saccharopolyspora spinosa. Its chemical formula is C42H71NO9. The spinosad-producing Saccharopolyspora spinosa Metrz & Yao was originally isolated from an abandoned brewery in the Caribbean. Spinosad has a broad insecticidal spectrum and is active against Lepidoptera and Thysanoptera pests. It also has certain insecticidal activity against some Diptera, Coleoptera, Hymenoptera and other pests. In addition, due to its unique mechanism of action, spinosad has good selectivity and is safe against non-target organisms.
